is there any way i can make h2v run faster?

Play it on XP, and tweak your computer a little bit.

Nah, i have 1gb of ram and h2v runs pretty well. I'd concentrate on the graphics card.

Defrag your files, close all other applications running in the background, scan for viruses and spyware etc... And do a selective startup.

theres one sure fire way to make halo 2 v run better. upgrade upgrade upgrade. i know derr, you know that but thats the only real answer. ram , video card, processor, any upgrade will help.

Some people mentioned running it on XP, i have tried and i cant get mine to register, it does perform a lot better, but once again i would say upgrade your ram to at least 2 gigs, if there is a way that you find to register H2V in XP i would suggest that

AMD athlon x2 3800+
2GB corsair
PCI-e X16 Nvidia 6600 VE
i get around 36FPS in single and 50 in multi-player*
my vista (Ultimate) takes 645MB in idle
XP- i get 47FPS Avg single and haven't been able to use Multi-player*
XP takes 789MB while playing H2V

*lowest quality settings and instead of windowed mode, i find a better boost in using -novsync which turns off verticle sync (not used in performance analysis)

BTW to those of you who suggested Razzor1911's mod a link to how to register it would be nice
