Its a new os microsoft isn't makingit just so you can play halo 2.sundriedprawn wrote:well im not spending $600 on a new program just to play H2PC
Windows xp home/pro/whatever is only $100.sundriedprawn wrote:its a program, windows xp is a program, and windows xp is 400
Vista will probably go for $500 mb $700 max at least when its first out, thats why I'll by it when its gone down to XP price. XP's prices will also probably drop when Vista comes out. Also I bet all the old games will be compatable on Vista just like under the poperties of a game under compatability it says "run this game in compatability mode for 95/98/2000." now its going to have XP in the list.
What errors? You obviously don't treat you computer right if you get so many errors. I've only had two errors on my lappy with XP.computers_6 wrote:and im getting SICK AND TIREd of winxp ALL THEESE STUPID BLUE SCREENS aka errors that have to restart yuor computer and haveing so many programs stop responding and not being able to close them
1. When I killed a usb port by accidently soddering two wires together while making an xbox controller workable on my lappy, plug it in BAM error, get another breakaway cable and do it again (bad idea) but then it works.
2. When someone spilt soda on my laptop.

My friend has a moderately good computer and he gets way over 30 fps on all high settings, yours isn't top o' the line or isn't configured correctly.
The only way your computer is top of the line is if your waiing at the end of the production line. YOu get home hook it up and BAM its already obsolete

First of all, Microsoft would think of making Windows Vista so it supports most games. Second, the operating system "Windows XP" is not fast enough for great games like Halo 2. Third, Operating Systems don't cost $600
.
EDIT: I would get it anyway because Windows XP gets unstable all the time.

As a person who has seen vista (friend has it, beta build at least) I can say it is gonna be awesome, Im even looking forward to IE 7 or whatever it is. I will definitely get Vista. For most of you its gonna cost a lot more because you will have to get a new computer, Vista is 64 bit architecture and most PCs nowadays are only 32 bit. I built a new computer with 64 bit capabilities just for Vista.
