Erm, the pic says it's done in VB..

Anyway, I don't see the point in this application at all to be honest. We already have Firefox/IE/Opera whatever, and they are all a lot more sophisticated that this it seems :?

For the record I did not run it, as it requires .net framework 3.5, which is still in beta... and I don't want a beta .net framework running on my PC, especially with al the XP <->Vista crap/problems/incompatibilities >_>

I'm not sure why it's branded with 'Halo Mods' either, as it doesn't really look like it offers anything special to do with halo anyway :\

I guess then, erm.. congrats on your second webbrowser <_<

tru.dat

in b4 "doing it for the sake of doing it"
Fine. Nobody's stopping you from doing it if you want to learn, but why release it and convey it as though it functions as a legitimate browser intended for true use?

since i got this far why stop thats what i thought, im not just gonna delete all i done. so i decided i would try to make it better and better then maybe over time its good enough so people might like it. you guys are retards if you think i released this to compete with IE or Firefox. you guys should be telling people to keep going and you will get better but all i get on this forum is people wining all the time its really sad.

So what functionality does it offer that gives people any reason to stray from their standard browser?

A key thing to note when starting the development process is to check to see that your target consumer actually has a reason and willingness to use the program.

why not just update your old post rather than make a new one?

You're just too cool, aren't ya?

Maybe you should make those buttons smaller, and shorten the height of the white area. Everything just seems unnecessarily big. :)
Keep going with it dude. I tried to learn coding, but I just got as far as you are right now, and quit. XD
ok thanks dude

Great...next time don't release anything that only takes about 5 mins to code. :?

Yeah, nobody said to stop developing, we just said don't release stuff that really doesn't do anything special. If you actually coded the WebBrowser part of it, instead of dragging and dropping the .Net WebBrowser control onto your form I would be impressed with it, but this was mostly done for you by Microsoft coders. Its like posting look how good the creators of .Net are.

try adding these to make a good browser you need enough tools to fill more then 1 toolbar

here are some tool suggestions

history function
favorites
tabs so you don't ever open up a bunch of browsers at once
a download manager like Firefox
print and print preview

and what ever else you think should be in a browser sense your a beginner i think its nice but i need use lots of the functions in firefox and I.E. that you don't have.
