Did you know?

Did you know that plasma grenades don't stick to weapons, only the people.
I got so pissed I was playing on lockout, stuck 2 people and almost stuck another one, but the grenade bounced off him and didn't stick. He still died(Noob) :? .
So I went to investigate. I went into a custom game and told someone to just stand there. I stuck every part of the man. Then I tried his gun and sure as hell it didn't stick.

P.S. I hope this is the right forum.

I know nothing about Halo 2 modding, but it seems as though you could fix that problem by pasting the 'plasma grenade impact human' meta over the 'plasma grenade impact weapon' meta.

Edit: I don't know why I automatically assumed this was for Halo 2. But it should be the same concept for both games.

Yeah, that's a pain. I don't know how many stickies have been averted when I've played Split Screen with my friends, bouncing harmlessly off their weapons instead of sticking to their pelvic areas....

its because, the weapon is metal, thats if it bounces off, if it goes through, it has no collision.

Isn't the MC a type of metal?

Yes, but the MJOLNIR armor is for a living thing. It's a target. A gun is an inanimate object.

OBGJFIOYO? XD

I thought it was a commonly known fact they bounce off weapons.

The sticky grenades only stick to living stuff. In DotHalo, I was exploring and found something intresting. In the phmo tag, there is an option to enable/disable "Alive", above "Object weight". I would assume that this should be what you are looking for.
However, these tags are disabled on vehicles, which you can stick when there are people inside only. I guess that once a player gets into a vehicle, the vehicle is classifed as part of the player. Not sure, but it should work, hypothetically.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any weapons in the phmo tag. Sorry!
