A while back, somone decides to make a post about a Golden Warthog..
Sorry to spoil the magic, but THERE IS NO GOLDEN WARTHOG! I can tell you three things you should look for to find a fake..

1) No video. They only give pics. No how to videos of them starting the level and actually getting it.

2) Look at what the 'discovers' say. Just to boot, he said he did it with all his friends. Now look at the pic. HE'S ALONE!

3) This is a modding site.

Well I hope the noobies learned something from this post.

poeple gave up on the golden warthog idea by the end of the year that halo2 came out... it doesn't exsist stop bringing it back up X.x

Spartan117 I think still goes on Xlink Kai and looks for it with friends.

But yes the golden warthog is fake, Modders can look into the map and find out that there is no golden warthog.

Ps. The Spartan117 thing I found out from 2 peoples sigs so I could be wrong.

that's realy sad if he's still looking for it... if it exsisted it would eba whole seperate vehicle in the vehi tag, and I've opened every map.. no hidden vehicle... he's wasting time if he's still looking.

In lockout, there's a golden sniper glitch. There is no special weapon tag for that. There could be a golden warthog. I'm not saying there is, but there doesn't have to be a seperate vehicle tag for the glitch to be true.

that's because it's not really a golden sniper, its because of the MC's visor.. it changes to golden/bronze it's not originally that coloration. the golden hog itself would have to be seperate, unless you somehow turned a normal one gold.

I don't belive in the Golden warthog.

Let's apply this to a different scenario.

Take the Banshee, and the Heretic Banshee.
Two differnt bahsee's, correct? Yet both have their own tag.

Odds are, that the 'Golden Warthog' would have its own tag as well.
There is NO Golden Warthog, and yes, it WOULD need its own vehi tag, if not in the Vehicle Collections.

No, you don't understand what I said, i'll leave it at this:
There is no Golden Warthog (duh), but a few friends and I can pull some tricks with your eyes giving a 'hog a "Golden Warthog" feel.

I know that there isn't a golden warthog. besides, I always believe the modder in a situation like this.

Of course there is a golden warthog! I drove it off the back of my marathon while listening to the hidden song from the hidden campaign level!

It's a trick of lighting from the top of the scarab or where ever else you get a pic from. I've done it before.

the only way you an get a semi-golden warthog would be through lighting tricks... >>;

ive never seen it myself, but a trustworthy(i believe) modder friend said that he once said he saw somebody driving a golden warthog in an xbox live game on headlong. Yes, i know that you cant mod old maps on Live, or that he would even be able to see it, but he did, so im kinda confused about how that would happen.
