at red base in bg, this guy tried to run me over, and just as he hit me(i knew i couldnt dodge that time) i just pressed e and the warthog does all these flips, the driver falls out and it says"sniperking was killed by the guardians" and he died, and i end up in the side seat!!!!???!!! how does that work, the guy said i was a hacker and that he didnt want a virus so he left, wtf was this all about?? has anyone ever had that happen?

The game says "killed by the guardians" because that's what the game says when people die in Halo, and nobody can tell why, or how the person died. It the strangest glitch. Hey, send us a video of this sometime.

perhaps some one shot him with a rocket from behind one second before he hit u...then the car started to flip and come to hit u...but just before it flipped u some how managed to get into it....???? .......its possible

that's it.. so the reason why he got in the passenger was when he pressed e, it was prolly laggy.

So you can't do this if you're hosting server..

1. Must be at someone elses' server
2. press e as a hog comes and hits you (hog might have to turn so that the passenger seat would be exposed).
3.A rocket from behind?
4.Luck?

That's wierd, but if there really was a rocket, it would not have said "killed by the guardians" but instead "killed by so and so".

ive tried doing it a couple times but it doenst work anymore i have like 68 deaths from trying to do it with my friends lol

ok i couldnt understand wut u said but all it means is that who ever died fell thru the map no offense and im not flamin

"killed by the guardians" is when you fall thru a map, like the guy above me said. ive done it a few times while trying to find tricks for hogs (they seem to do it more often tho it has happened with a ghost before) like one time i was trying to flip a hog on a rock and then jump out and land in the gunner seat and it knocked me below the level and said i was killed by the guardians. my guess is that some1 else had a rocket or a grenade they used nearby and it spun the hog so that it landed in a position where the driver would fall below the map, and you entering is just because u hit 'e'. that wud explain most of it, except that its nearly impossible to do that with a rocket or a nade (without you noticing, that is).

Ummmm no... "The Guardians" is a script built into Halo. When you die for some unexplained reason, and the game doesn't know why, it says you were killed by the Guardians.

maybe they put killed by the guardians because they planned to put ais or something cuz when you die by ais you get killed by the guardians...

lol For one thing, I dont think it says "(name) was Killed by the Guardians" to anyone besides the person that was killed (at least on halo 2, and i think halo 1). Another thing, the guy must have been a complete retard because he failed to find any difference between a "hacker" and an xbox live modder....and also thought that someone that was modding their xbox game could somehow send them a virus on the game....HAHAHAHAH! That guy deserves to get virused/trojaned! long live myg0t!

exactly what I was thinking..it could happen..OR this guy (the one that posted) threw a frag to kill the jeep, so when the guy was racing at him he got out so it wouldn't kill him, and then the other guy (the one that posted) click E, and got in it...SO, the frag blew up, making the jeep flip out, as he got in it........

In terminal when a train hits you, your killed by the guardians, or double melee kill, so someone can tell why that happens when you die.
