hope this trick works

We all know in halo 2 you can use a sword, and dash forward, but there is a way you could travelk as far as you want!!
-First set it to Rocket launcher as primary weapon, then sword as secondary.
-Now line up (far away) on a flat surface targeting the opponent
-Once the crosshairs turn red, fire a rocket, and switch weapons at the same time
(if done right, you shoot yourself out of the rocket laucher and stab the opponent)

It does work, but it takes quite a bit of practice...

You just figured this out? I did this in the first week of halo2.

are you serious? that is OLD!! and you dont shoot urself outta the launcher! and thats not even how u do it! sheesh....

well see, hes doesnt use his whole life on the computer and xbox, he accually has a life outside of halo, unlike a large percent of us here

You must be so thick to think it would shoot you out of the rocket launcher. lol. The game just gets "mixed messages" so it thinks the rocket reticle is the sword reticle..sorry for the flame....BUT COME ON and ya this is very old

i knew that a long time ago

i learned the rocket~sword lunge trick two hours after it came out.when you aim someone with a weapon besides sword,then switch and slash extremly quick,the game hasnt had time to change the range back to very short.
