ok heres a vid i made of me doing wut the subject of this thread says.

this can be used to "cheat" but from what bungie says

"What is cheating? Well, cheating is doing things intentionally to affect the outcome of a game beyond the gameplay itself. So, for example, if a particular map has an area that currently allows a flag to pass through a solid structure and a team takes advantage of it - that's not cheating. That's an unfortunate bug with a map and everyone can exploit it the same. We are tracking these types of issues and investigating ways to potentially fix these problems."

so this glitch is as much of a glitch as the sward tricks there for u cant get in trouble using this.

This vid actually shows more of the fun that this glitch can be when smacking the hog and making it fly in the sky.

please dont ask how this is done, the vid actually shows how to do it just not in the right order.

this is really, really, really, cheap and fun i must admit... winning my friends 5 on 2 is just too much fun sometimes.. hehe and i bet that if you ever do it on XBL, your gonna get feed back (O no! "Cheating" feedback! whoopdie ***'in do!)

and besides, if your worried that somebody is going to do this to you... just never let the hog get near your base. It's as simple as that. other than that, sign up at hbxdev. It actually is really nice.

hahaha theres a word for what your doing.... "Hate'n" stfu. i had a smaller version of this trick posted at that same site but guess what, they deleted it along with my latest vid.

If you think that this isn't cheating, then your wrong. A flag going through a wall might be ok because of one thing. But think about it. Winning whatever game your in. This is an ultimate glitch, and using it IS cheating...it's just not fair.

hey i can see how u can call it cheating, but its cheating that is not punishable.. yea the other team can talk shit... do i use this? for fun yes, for real, no. im in str8 rippin ranked 3 clan so i really wouldnt benifit from using this. anyone one who watchs this vid will see how it does not support cheating.

I'd have to agree with d3fault on this one.

Please, give me a link to where Bungie said this will get you banned. They are only banning people that are interfering with the flow of Xbox Live data, and the reason that they are able to do that is that it is against the terms and conditions of using the Live service. Using a glitch that is in the game is in no way against the rules of Xbox Live. I think Bungie hasn't commmented on this yet cause they know that they aren't gonna do shit about people that do it, but they don't wanna come out and say, "Yeah, its okay." If they don't comment on it, people like you will just assume that it could get them banned so that they won't do it.

Glitches are part of the gameplay, buddy.


If they do anything, they will release a mandatory patch to fix the glitch. But I don't see that happening anytime soon unless it becomes as big of an issue as the modem standby thing.

yea the best thing that bungie can do is just not comment on it, wut they could/should do is jjust revoke wins that are won this way.... if anything.

glitches are our friends just because we virtuly break the laws of phisics dosnt mean we'r cheating i say use all glitchs to advantage and how did u do the super melee?

how can u say this is cheating? its part of the game, and both teams can benifit from it. if sum 1 knows a really good sniper spot, that gives them an advantage, its not "cheating" to use it, its called strategy, and its wut ppl use when they... want to win. if sum 1 uses a rocket jump to get to u, then they pull out a cheap stick and bonk u up, guess wut, SO CAN U. not cheating, strategy!
