ENBseries - a little program which enhances Halo's graphics

A few weeks ago, I found this program called ENBseries by a Russian guy named Boris, and what it does is that it enhances the graphics of DirectX 9 games. It's meant for GTA: San Andreas, but you can stick it into the main directory of any DX9 game and it will add some cool post filter effects.

So of course, what this version of the program does is enhance Halo's graphics. It's been hacked so Halo.exe won't give any stupid errors when launching, but besides that it's the same thing as the original.

It supports bloom, motion blur, AA, AF, colour correction and in GTA it can enhance some shaders. There is a .ini file which you can tweak to change the effects, see the read me for more details. This version of ENBseries has a pre-tweaked .ini meant for Halo, and it only has bloom enabled because I haven't gotten the other features to work.

The bloom is pretty, and it adjusts itself depending on the brightness and darkness. It almost looks as good as Halo 3's HDR sometimes.

Oh, and this hacked version of the program isn't supported by the creator. You can find the supported versions of ENBseries and some info on it at his website:

http://boris-vorontsov.narod.ru

PLEASE READ:

I DO NOT TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS! I DID NOT MAKE THIS, ALL I DID WAS HACK THIS PROGRAM (with permission) SO IT WORKS FOR HALO!

Also, this program will have an impact on performance (obviously). It'll drop your fps by 30% or more, so if you already have trouble running Halo with a playable fps, it probably isn't a good idea to try this out.

Okay, now that I'm done with that massive wall of text, take a look at the pics and download the program and try it out.

This is pretty damn crazy. Have a sticker. :)
EDIT: Okay, this is not good. Halo tells me there is a problem when I try to run it with this on.

Too Much Bloom can be a bad thing.

I haven't gotten AA to work yet, you guys could try tweaking with the .ini and see if you get any results. I only got bloom to work so far.

Also, the bloom isn't that noticeable while you're playing. It adjusts depending on the brightness, so it only goes all crazy bright like the pics when you're looking at something dark and then looking at something bright, or when you have a bright object in a dark room. For example, the one where I'm looking outside of the pelican is really bright because I was just staring inside the dark interior of the pelican a split second ago. Oh, and if you try to use the sniper's night vision when it's not dark, there's a lot more bloom.

If someone gets AA to work I'll get it. Hell, even just a slight blur on the edges would help the game.

I think most of the next gen games already have an excessive amount of bloom anyway.

I got used to those, so I can get used to this! =)

I like it, if anyone can get the motion blur to work then I'm sold. =)

What is AA? I figured it'd be easier to get an answer here than Google-ing "AA."

Anti-Aliasing. Make edges less jagged.

If you have a game that runs at less than the maximum resolution (especially on LCDs, but on others as well) it looks like crap. AA fixes that, but (ironically) only newer games have it, where it isn't much of a problem.

Same with me too. Is there a certain video card you need for this? Sorry if that sounded noobish, but I really wanted to try this out.

you should already have that installed. I know this because I needed to install it while I was doing Halo CE.
