[WIP][Skin] H3 Pelican

Hey guys, this is my first skin (publicly released that is), which is supposed to be an H3 pelican, its still a WIP though, I'm not entirely done adding detail to it yet. The interior uses rub's skin, so not much of a point to screenie that. I might make a different detail corroded metal light texture later.

Not bad. could use a bump map. here's what It would look like smoothed out

With a rusty bump map

Nice.

Bigshot, you need to put a watermark of some sort on those bitmaps to cover it up (not the whole thing, just a portion), so no body can use it. It's not a matter of someone stealing your work, more of a matter of someone stealing Bungies.

Anyway the outside of the pelican of bigshot007 looks a lot better than my pelican.

Thanks for the comments :) I'll keep workin on it today after school. Oh yeah and one of the attachments says it uses andrew's skin, its supposed to say rub's idk why I wrote that. I think the first bumpmapped skin needs some improvement, its kinda warped. I'll do it if someone shows me how without giving me a link to the search bar.

1. You cannot post bitmaps.
2. That looks very good.

Some parts look a bit weird because i am guessing you fake bump mapped the whole thing. and the rust one does not look like rust. it looks corroded.

Bigshot, shader_models can't have bumps.

Yeah, rusty/corroded. Lets get back to helping him out...

By the way, for pictures or in general, use a different cubemap. It would make the pictures better.

Yeah, rusty/corroded. Lets get back to helping him out...

Yeah, I guess it depends what your going for. I thought that it was to shiny in the picture for my opinion.

Cubemaps make things shiny? I thought they create a fake reflection.

The skin look good I like it but how do you bump map.

Well for this particularly skin you can only bumpmap the skin (fake bumpmap). With Other skins there is actually a seperate bitmap for this, but in this case there's not one.

Just shut up. I cant believe you actually have people talking to you. They must not have seen my longest. And the only thing you know about bumpmaps are they give it more detail and you can use a filter to make them.

1. No, cubemaps dont make things shiny. Its the specular.
2. Bumpmaps give it more detail if light is shown on it.
3. Shader models can be moved to Shader_Environment and be bumped. Looks horrible though
4. You thread hijacked.
5. Achronos-117: Your skin looks ok...just kinda looks...the first pictures look bad...but the last look ok.

I was mostly using the first corroded metal light skin just to show the detail I put in, with the default corroded metal, you can't really see much. I don't really have any good corroded metal skin in hand so yeah.

shader_model cannot support bump maps. What he was thinking of i think was embossing the original skin to make it look like bump mapping.
