HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

This is the FAMAS AR. I spent about about 4 hours making it. I had a little difficulty with making the mid-section (the part that the MC grabs with his left hand), but other than that, everything looks good. I was just about to post this when I saw the Ice Gulch mod and one of the models that the guy in that had was a FAMAS, which really ticked me off cause I thought that I was being original. I hope you like it and download it.

PS. Notice how I got the mag right, unlike the Mac 11 I made, which I fixed and will be posting soon.

The model inside the RAR folder isn't a FAMAS.

Um, why wouldn't you try to get every detail correct... Or at least even the shape of it...

I did try. It was just very, very hard. And the midsection kept screwing up. Don't think I didn't try.

Oh, yeah. I was just wondering, how do you create a model from scratch or just add parts on after deleting parts of a model? I tried doing it but couldn't get the vertices or idices correct. I just model off of the original guns, not start from scratch.


Oh, yeah. Sorry about the poll. It didn't appear on my comp so I tried to make a new one but it reappeared. It doesn't matter which of the two options for each answer you choose.

Guys, seriously. Cut the man some slack. It's only his second model. And I agree with him. If you want it perfect, do it yourself, don't whine because he didn't. I'm not trying to flame or offend anybody, I'm just standing up for him. Personally, I haven't seen another FAMAS on this site, and if you can show me a better one, by all means, go ahead. I think his is good for a second model. Good job, Dude.

Thanks for backing me up. I'm working on a mod that includes many of the models that I have created (I won't say what the mod is cause I want it to be a surprise ). It's going to be kicka**. I have already designed a couple other models. Tell me if I should release them.


Here are the models I have not released. If you think I should release them, please tell me on this thread. Here they are:
-Abrams Battle Tank (replaces scorpion)
-Javelin Missile System (replaces rocket launcher)
-RPG-7 (doesn't inject into HMT but it looks pimp)
-And a couple other models I will use in my mod (one being a taser, maybe)

Please tell me if I should pre-release these models or wait until I finish the mod. Thanks.

yeah, I probably can. I'll work on that right now. I'll post it in this download section after I'm done .

now this would be more fun! helghast assault rifle, w/ built in shotgun.

i posted this stuff cuz im wired and i played killzone all night on hard, took an hour 30 min to beat the first level. man its hard. and i see the famas and say to my self, hey, that looks like the helghast assault rifle.
