i dont know what to call it
took me all day to make and this is my first ever model

huh? the halo 3 pistol is the halo 1 pistol(or very identical for that matter)

OH MY GOD!!!!!!! *crying* I SCREWED UP!!!!!! I really wanted to use that. Okay, so here's what im looking at. CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME? Its not the skin that im most concerned about (although I am still very concerned), but the shape. My second day on HaloMods, BTW. If you can, I'll more than gladly accept the terminology "noob" so here it is :

You need to inject the model for that map, and it looks like your bitmaps are corrupted. Before you inject, be sure that the format is DXT1, with 9 mip levels (2x2).

Uh..... Wuh? Alright, heres what I did to get here. I first injected weapons\fp\bitmaps\pistol with PISTOL2.DDS, because the readme said to inject that first and then inject weapons\fp\bitmaps\pistol multipurpose. Then, I injected weapon\fp\bitmaps\pistol_card with PISTOL2.DDS. Next, I injected weapon\fp\bitmaps\pistol multipurpose with PISTOL MULTIPURPOSE.DDS, and then weapon\fp\bitmaps\pistol_card multipurpose with PISTOL MULTIPURPOSE.DDS. Finally, I imported THE MODEL into weapons\pistol\fp\fp under the model part. HOW do I fix this? And what is a DXT1 format, with 9 mip levels (2x2)?

That might be your problem, you injected the pistol multipurpose for the pistol_card multi. That will corrupt your bitmaps. In hmt it will be called "pistol multipurpose" not pistol_card

Thought that might be it.... uh... I didn't make a back-up file..... can I still fix this? and does that have an effect on the shape of the model?

Nope that won't effect the model. Looks like you just need to inject it. idk. About the bitmaps, you'll need to start with a fresh bitmaps.map and re-inject the textures.

How do I inject the model? All I see is Export, Export All, and Import. And if it works on a different map (screwed up on bloodgulch, now trying timberland), will it work on blood gulch or at least campaign?
