HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Hey, here's my 1st mod ever, its for trial version though, plenty of people still play trial, and it only takes a few minutes to download, (and can be installed next to full version) So please at least try it.

I changed a lot of textures and most of the weapon properties, and changed the banshee to a supportive vehicle/bomber, left click drops med kits for your friends, left click drops a frag grenade that does a lot of damage and has a lot of force.

The warthogs handle a little differently from each other, and the banshee is faster, but has slower accleration, alos, try not to crash into the enviroment with the shee, you will die. (just like real life =P)

Thats all I'm putting up to tell, I have pics, (i looked at other mods, pics seem to be important.) Please leave feedback about it so I can see how decent it is.

P.S. If any of it looks or feels noobish, thats because it is!

For a first, very good. Look into learning how to PMI though.

Whats PMI? and i'll have a link for the actual mod in a minute, I'm trying to find a safe looking site to upload the file too. lol

u can only upload 5 things at a time upload it in a diff post in this topic

Ok, here is the file, I had to take out the bitmaps.map, so you have to inject all the dds files yourself, sorry.

I would set up a server for you guys to play in, but I'm behind a router so thats not a option =(
So you guys will have to make you own arrangements, if anyone gets this and knows when they might make a server with it let me know, I had to test this with myself XD So I'd like to play it with other people.

I didn't skin everything on the map, just the most of the major things, like the plants, ground, hogs, shee, and bases, I did some of the sky too.

this is better that my first mod ill give him that.

This is pretty good for a first mod, but make sure your tileable textures are not so obvious.

I really like this mod. In Halo trial, everyone whores the 'shees, and it gets really annoying. This mod makes the 'shees more balanced. Also remember, PMI is not possible on trial as far as I know, so very good for the limited resources. 9/10 (don't like the skins)

lol, good for a first. i see how u used the wave bitmap from the silent cartographer(looks good as whispy clouds, must be windy!lol! +4), and jupiter(dats kool- +2)and the rest is koo;l ,+2) your score is 8.10. gj for ur first.

^^sorry off topic but when you say "Im behind a router" what does that mean? I cant host servers even though I really want to. I think it may have something to do with the fact that I have a wireless connection, anyone wanna help me out plz?

looks ok besides alot of the very obvious repeating textures that look horrible (the textures dont look horrible, but the obviousness (if thats even a word) of the textures looks bad)

This is a great mod! Although the ground textures are a little bit too obvious, in the grand scheme of things that doesn't amount for bupkiss. You did an amazing job for a first timer! I absolutely LOVE the tires on the chain hog! You also did a good job with the skins. You didn't try to get too fancy with them, and I like that. The banshee is great because nobody has really been trying to skin the banshee. The fact that it doesn't look like a turd with wings was a major change from some of my attempts! 10/10. Keep it up!

Wow nice job. Is threshold supposed to look like jupiter or is that just the clouds?
