[TRIAL] <<(((Elites in Bloodgulch (PMI))))>>

PMI in Bloodgulch for Halo Trial. Elites are in pelicans and there are some other interesting things lying around such as field generators, and giant trees that don't exist in BG. It's fairly easy. Just don't get meleed and you might live. Also, host this on LAN. NOT INTERNET!!!! Do not host on internet or it won't work.

EDIT: If you want to know the features of the mod, here they are:

*Elites...well, kind of everywhere. There are in total 66 elites on the map. Enjoy :)
*AI! Not just some bipeds standing around. They move and shoot! (would not be possible without Phenomena and Sword!)
*Shields everywhere. To be more percise, field generators everywhere.
*Bunch of storage boxes and uplinks. Those are the big purple boxes.
*6 pelicans.
*Elites are harder than usual. 275 HP with plasma rifles. They dodge almost every grenade you throw and melee is instant kill.
*Doors...Phenomena imported some machines for me and others and I put them inside the map. Just ignore them. If you want, go into SparkEdit and put the doors where you want them to be.

A new generation of Trial Mods is coming. I have full Halo but want to make mods for both versions. Trial modders went from simple projectile swaps to Hex Editing to SparkEditing (when sparkify came out) and finally, at last after almost 5 years, PMIing and converting SP to BP. Yes it's sad but Halo Trial is much much harder to mod. Very hard due to several constrictions. So you have to hack it. :P

Thanks GametagAeonFlux. It's hard to believe, but there are still several hundred players on Halo Trial servers at any given time. Lots of em can't mod. You make a server with a simple projectile swap mod, you'll have 16/16 players in no time and more waiting eagerly for an empty spot. I know because that's what position I was in a long time ago.

Fishface617 (it sounds kind of awkward calling someone "fishface" :P), I did not hex edit the map. Only HMT v3.5 and HHT was used. Well, I did hex 8 numbers. That was all. No serious hex editing.

You know it's real weird. All you have to do to get HHT to work for Halo Trial is to change the first four binary sets of the map in Hex Editor! I think either Phenomena or Sword found these numbers but Pheno was the one who posted it on MHT.

Thanks for the compliments on the map but I need someone to give me any feedback. I kind of rushed through it.

Im back >.< and i learned quite a bit of few things just I gotta get over the header problem.

He didnt hex edit it sword did it, he used a certain open source map that was created by sword.

I had a feeling sword would create a map for trial modders.I wanted people to "actually" learn how to do it but i guess not.If i rate id give it 7/10 maybe less because of the fact you didnt do all the pmi's and its pretty simple to put ai since its there already.

It may sound cruel but Im disappointed =(.

Is it really a new era?Who actually did all the work?
Only very "few" demo modders actually know how to pmi for trial.

No, no, I am glad with your feedback. Look, I am a curious modder. To put it simple, if I see someone mod an ocean in Bloodgulch, I'd take as long as half a year to try my best to find out HOW. I have pestered Sword and Phenomena for that past three weeks. Of course, being very secretive, Phenomena only told me that Sword hacked HMT to batch extract Halo Trial maps and that he would not release this HMT due to "legal issues". Sword said nothing at all.

But I think I might have figured it out. It's simple hex numbers they changed to make Halo Trial compatible with HMT. Together, these numbers read "Daeh", or 0983 0100. You simply change it to 6461 6568.

But hey, I DO know how to PMI in full Halo :). And yes, the entire process. I've got it memorized and on the top of my head; I can recite the steps without hesitation. But this trial just annoys and fustrates me. Don't worry, if Phenomena does not reveal his little tricks and secrets,

#1 I will call him "Teh' Pehnomehna" forever, which annoys him
#2 I will make a signature with his email on it and encourage noobs to email him so he'd be getting mails like "ZOMG! how did u that omg r u h4x0r or wat did u do omgz tell me!!!"

No not really lol. But I will find out one way or another. Take my word for it :P.

Well fishface did give some clues.

It starts out as hexedit.

You would need to understand the map file structure.You could understand a bit from Grenadiac's tuts on it.

The major points you would need to know is floats and reflexives.

And how sword "hacked" hmt seems obvious to me, its just a feeling..I think i know how he did it.

you know Phenom your pretty calm on the matter that someone used your mod and didnt ever mention you at all in the credits.

this would be a pretty good mod on full halo but on trial now thats outstanding (this is one day before 2 weeks ZOMG NOT A BUMP!)
