Sup. Is it possible to mod a scorpion into the map?

Also you said in the features there's oddball, does that mean you can drop you weapon in the mod?

Thread's been bumped up before from a lengthy silence.

As far as the tank goes I'm thinking more along the lines of machinima (For my TV production class) over multiplayer, which is also why I want to know if you can drop your weapon.

if you mean like in RvB?
there was no weapon dropping, they just looked at the ground when using a pistol, it makes MC look up, its physically impossible to drop a weapon without editing the model itself and scripting, which just by you asking this question in the first place tells me that you have no idea on how to do that.

I'm also guessing that a couple people could do it if they spent like a bajillion hours cracking halo's code and other crap, but why bother? when they can actually live their life?

Riiight... the problem with that is that there's no theater mode in halo 1 or 2, so the camera in rvb is a player with no HUD (done by letterboxing the HUD out) and no weapon to obstruct the view, done by doing a glitch in oddball i don't feel like explaining which results in the player dropping their weapon and holding nothing. I don't expect people to know this, but please don't assume that I don't know what I'm talking about. It's about the cameraman, not the actors. the only problem is there's no oddball in the trial, and so far no possible way to make the cameraman drop his weapon. I've spent a lot of time trying to look for a solution and found nothing closer than this.

And I'm sorry about the bump, maybe next time I'll just make a thread asking someone who knows something about this mod a question that they'll have less of a chance of seeing. that way someone would be hassling me over why I didn't just comment on the already existing thread instead of wasting forum space with a new topic. At least this way I'm bringing something that's actually good to the front page instead of a new thread.

and you mean the OTHER type of drop, that's easily done by nulling out the weap tag on the bipd in the dependency swapper

Oddly enough, there's also a program that gets rid of your HUD, too.

that glitch only works with Halo 2.

To do this, open up either HHT or eschaton, go to the dependancy swapper, and under the oddball find the mod2 saying "weapons\oddball\fp\fp" or something simmilar, making sure it's the FP.

Swap it for null.
