Halo PC uploads. All posts must have pictures and a mod to download. Use PPF always, unless the map is rebuilt.

I cant extract the zip file. Both WinZip and WinRar give error messages.

Sadly, Bitmaps downloads stops before completion, can you fix this?

Uploading mirror for bitmap.map. This file will not be in .rar format so theres no futher issues if need be. Also if Philly can "OK" me doing this that would be a plus as well.

Edit: New filter tweek i was speaking of Philly. Not obtrusive and just the right touch of flair i think.

Major awesomeness. Hopefully I can get haloz working on my mac again so I can play it on that...if it works.

I played, and it worked fine except for one thing... the sword doesn't show...

I pick it up, I use it, it kills stuff, but it looks like im holding a handle... :(


but i love the sentinel beams, they rock

not a bit... but I am on a mac mini, so even though I had the halo graphics on max, it could just be my garbage graphics card...

but it definitely wasn't there... not a big deal, for me at least...

That happened to me in Redux. The water didn't work b/c of my crappy graphics card, it didn't render the shader's used.

Philly, did you ever think of that idea I gave you with the sword using Pepsi's Aura Skies?

My official comments on this...

Very good job dude. As I know this is a BETA so there are bugs and glitches and were to value game play and so forth. I really like the way the sentential beam plays a role in this game as well as having your classic multi plasma rifles. I personally would love to see more lighting in this as far as taking advantage of the specular options and so forth. Maybe even going as far as duplication of some of the light torches near the "cave". I love how you made the sniper blue cause i was never a fan of anything green like it is stock. Another thing i was thinking about while playing is how nice it would be to have the ATV to ride on instead of the hog when leaving the complex. You would have to get permissions of course but i felt that vehicle would be a nice change of pace for a snow level then the standard hogs.

speaking of hogs... the rims kill it for me. sorry but im not a fan of "bling" rims in halo nor was i ever. just not something im into. The sounds are spot on and the AR now has a sound to it that doesnt sound so "lame" to me. Gives the mod a extra touch i think it deserves. Another thing i thought that might be cool is that if you can play with the snow psychics and make it more heavy and blowing somewhat rather then just falling it might add more of that "deep frozen tundra" feel to the map also. Other then some noticeable bugs and glitches im sure your aware of being this is a BETA i think this is just spectacular on alot of levels.

No need to rate this cause its a BETA and my comments are expression enough.

Side Note:
While playing this mod i dont know what you did but it rekindled some old flame inside of me when i used to love making textures and so forth. So im offering now that if you need any help reskinning any of the enviroments such as base interiors/exteriors, cliff walls, ice, snow, bump/normal maps, skys or what not send me a PM or something and ill mock some textures up with screens to match what ive done or changed. im working now from 6am-2pm so i have some free time in the evenings and this project isnt a rush job so theres no pressure to get things done just to please the masses. just let me know if your interested.

as always, gj man and looking forward to whatever comes in the future.

p.s. its late again so grammar and spelling is prolly going to be off some. sorry for that.

Point taken. Since I released this beta, I've taken the time to redo the shaders a bit and lovingly rip some skins from Halo DX. PM me if you're interested in making a Halo 3 style skin for the warthog.

I also am going to post a bitmaps.map mirror, but thanks to philly, the end file size is very ugly and results in 110mb for me, which means over the file limit for most sites. :<

I will try to find a way though.
