It looks like all you did was the color-change brush in Photoshop and drag it over select areas of the AR.
It really could use a lot more work. IMO more realistic skins look better, try looking at other skins that look like real guns, and doing what they did.
For example, Ryder's AR was one of my favorites, InvaderVeex's Recent AR skin is rather good, and phoenix's notorious H3 AR isn't too bad.
Go look at those, and try to emulate what they did.
BTW, as a grade for this, I'd give it something like a 6.75/10
I like how you've given two options, and it almost looks like it'd be some kind of custom paint job by a marine or something. It's not great, but It's certainly not the worst thing I've seen.
i dont see alot of people giving him the most useful feedback that they can, you see something wrong in particular, u should point it out
make the red less blotchy like others said
make the existing AR parts darker, so where it's gray, make it black or something, just select everything that isn't red and bring the brightness down on the selection (if you're in photoshop that would be layer>new adjustment layer>brightness contrast, and make sure the "use legacy" checkbox is UNCHECKED
the first one seems too blotchy and the second one seems too squiggly, you should make an in between
