Halo may be a good game, but we can all agree on one thing: Bungie has no idea how to make functional crosshairs, or a target reticle as some people like to call it. This makes aiming a pain, because the crosshairs are usually so big that they take up a lot of the screen, making it hard to aim (the rocket launcher comes to mind). Or, there usually is not an indication as to where the exact middle pixel of the screen is, making long range precision shots excessively difficult at times (like the pistol, plasma rifle or plasma pistol). My crosshairs skin fixes both of these problems. It replaces all crosshairs in the game with a 5 simple dots placed in a cross pattern, with the middle dot slightly translucent. This has improved my accuracy, that's for sure. It might help you aim a bit too, so that's why I posted this here!
VERSION 1.01
- Pistol and Assault Rifle crosshairs are no longer too high.
WHAT HASN'T CHANGED
- Sniper rifle and warthog driver crosshairs are the default ones, because they are fine.
- The rocket launcher warthog gunner crosshairs are slightly smaller, due to the fact that the texture for the rocket warthog crosshairs is smaller than the other textures.
- Covenant turret crosshair is slightly bigger than the others, because of it's odd texture dimensions. You also need to aim slightly higher, like you always have.
- It is still illegal to use these in professional games
