well im gonna keep trying to change the folder to on the hdd because it is possible to change it. it got it from maps to mops and still had it booting. but you are proably right its not possible. but if anyone would like to help my never ending quest that would be great.

finaly some real progress. i realized that its not actually on the d:\ drive but the e:\ drive emulating the d:\ so i wanted to see if i was even heading in the right direction. so i just swaped every d:\maps\ to d:\mops\ and it works. so what that means is i am able to change the file location i ju...

that didnt work so i went back and just changed any d:\maps\ to e:\maps\ and placed mainmenu.map shared.map singleplayershared.map and the fonts folder in e:\maps\ and that time i got to a dirty disk error. so im making progress

ok well i guess i will look in the default.xbe with a hexeditor and see if i can find it. if anyone would like to help that would be great.

ok great thats what i want it to do can you explain how i change where it looks. and ya i dont want it to act as downloadable content i just need to change where it looks for maps

so there is no way to make it search in that folder? im not trying to trick it into a live match like mimesis i just want the main menu to see another folder besides the maps folder.
