Yep. It tells you how to dissable the AU using hex. You can use C-Xbox to rename the .xbe with your PC.

yah u have to hex the default.xbe file to keep the auto updater from doing that. ofcourseu could just download mine if u have trouble with hex in my "usual place" but you'd have to AIM me cuz i'm not about to get another strike. oh and by the way - to the comment just afte my last post - ...

Ok I'll give it a try but do I need to change anything in my xbox Halo2 files or can I just run right from disk?

Finally was able to dl after 2 days. I got the ISO image but when I burned it with NERO on Ritek media my moded box couldn't read the disk and it booted over to the xbox dash. Anybody have any ideas? you should use a DVD medium that your xbox is capable reading.. most xboxes won't read DVD-R, or DV...
