It really depends on which map you want the gate in, if it already has a .mach tag in it with working Machines or not.

Entity confuses me sometimes

Every time I try and change an Identity of a spawn in Entity then view the BSP to place it the BSP brings up an error saying "Unable to read beyond the end of the stream." This is beginning to drive me crazy and I can't seem to work my way around it.

When I put the Scarab on the map it never froze, if it does for other people I don't know why, but for me it worked fine. Also you didn't need to post the whole tutorial, you could have just said the "Pelican in MP tut" and I think most people would have understood what you meant.

He gave his XBL Gamertag. I am not saying that you guys do not present valid points, but to me this guy is an XBL modder. Also he is only working in the TDATA folder, which (more often than not) screams XBL MODDER!!!

To get the Scarab on the map you can do one of two things; 1. Inject the Scarab machine tag from 03b_newmombasa, then spawn it on the map (it will never move this way), 2. You could just bring over the hlmt and change the warthog or some other vehicle's hlmt to the Scarab's to make it move. In regua...

I had a download, but I didn't know it wasn't supposed to be .dds, so someone removed it. Also, I posted a second topic because I wanted all the people looking in this forum to go check out the other forum where my download was. I will put a patch for the shared.map next time I do a skin.

1. Duplicate an [itmc] tag
2. Change the dependency to a projectile (your rocket)
3. Add some chunks to the Netgame equipment
4. Open the map in a BSP viewer and change the spawn points to wherever you want.

As for your problem with the other maps; are you talking about the campaign maps which are in the same folder as the maps you mentioned, or the downloaded maps.

I don't think you would need to change the MP map, but you would need to change the shared map and put something from the Single Player Shared into it, because the single player and multiplayer maps are mutally exclussive due to the different shared map files.

Did you bring over every part of it? Sometimes Insolence or Entity misses pieces of stuff when it does drag-n-drop.
