thank you for the honest opinion with the human ads... it's a valid point. i like having them there as a reminder to make everything else as realistic as possible... it ups the standard. the random ai's sound like a difficult sequence.. maybe it would be a project after i get the initial map by itse...

the point of the ad is to contrast with the ghetto disctrict, "le quartier" below it.... the poor area is what was left behind after urban revitalization in the city.... the ghetto is a last tribute to ancient architecture. don't worry though, the municiple planners of Cot

haha don't worry... this is one of three billboards with a sense of humour... everything else is purely realistic. i just thought this was a nice touch over the ghetto district :)

no, that map is currently in permanent hiatus... i'll probably get back to it after everything i'm doing now... the problem is is that was literally my first map in max, and going back, it looks U G L Y. I'd probably just redo it if i were to release it.

a lot of those ideas sounded scripted, which sadly isn't possible in halo ce. the zero-g jumping in space is cool, but i don't think it's possible to be able to change gravity, and for that matter, you'd need 'walls' on the map, something that would make open space tricky to create. i don't thtink f...

i'm not sure about this, but is there a maximum to textures in a map? i know increased polies slows things down, so does the same principle apply to textures? if so what's a good maximum? i'm hoping it's a lot <crosses fingers and hugs TIFs in cot

you can also render any view.... usually 'top' is very useful for actual technical purposes, but 'perspective' is best for seeing 3 dimensionally what your project will look like in game, and for posting here. press F10 to get to the render window and from there you can choose the view at the very b...
