You seem to be building your map on a laptop. Do you know whether your graphics card is any good? While unlikely, it could be the cause...

Never heard of it, but if in doubt, go into 3ds max, import the error file and delete the problem area and redraw it over again.

The tutorial tells you what to do http://www.cortana.org/HEK_Tutorial/ref ... ation.html.
Import the error file into 3ds max and fix the map errors it identifies.

The wrong version number error is probably because you have faces in your map that dont have a material applied to them

I also had this problem, and it seemed to be localised around areas where I had a separate object (a base or whatever) on my level. The only way I could find to get rid of it was to delete my base object and create it again.

It's all in the tutorial... you seem to have skipped over a lot of it. Firstly, at the very start of the tutorial it mentions putting the blitzkrieg plugin into your 3ds max 7 (it seems you can use the plugin for 3ds max 6). As I gave you in my previous post, the download of the plugin is at http://...

1) First of all, Read the HEK tutorial. http://www.cortana.org/HEK_Tutorial/main/main.html As far as I know, there isn't a blitzkrieg (.jms) plugin exporter for 3ds max 7, so you may need to go to 3ds max version 6, the plugin for which you can get here . http://www.cortana.org//tafs/files_patch.taf...

They come free with Halo CE, but you have to have a CD-key for the PC version of Halo already in order to install Halo CE.

Keep your shirt on!

Basically, creating the reference frame should be the VERY first thing you do... as shown in the HEK tutorial

Have you linked your level and other objects to the frame? (if you have linked them, make sure they aren't linked the wrong way around)

I think if you want the x,y,z values to show up in the edit boxes at the bottom then you click on the 'Move' button on the main toolbar after you have selected the edges you want to move (the button looks like a cross with an arrow on each of the ends).

As long as you set the working directory in the shortcut they should be ok... if you don't they won't :-)

You are probably starting the geurilla.exe program from a shortcut. It won't work properly if you do. You need to start geurilla.exe by double clicking on it explorer in the Halo CE directory (where the file was installed to), so that it will have the Halo CE directory as its working directory.
