lol thats all interesting .. sapien in the xbe lol
but what iwas really looking ofr, i know i read about it somewhere, was the reason tehy use "magic", and how they parse the map for the tags.
any help here m8s?

How the halo xbe works

Im interested to know how the halo xbe uses the magic and the tags in the map file. I dont understand how it can know exactly where each tag is and then where its meta is, etc. etc. I know it has something to do with the magic of the map, but how can it go to the proepr spot so quickly? a link or de...

hmm from my personal experience, anything you can edit in Sparkedit, as well as jpt!, doesnt work in online. So if you change the position of anything, as far as i can remember with my experiences in this it will cause an error. If you swap weapons..im not sure i havent tried that in a long time. PR...

Skinning MCs

How can i change the skins of the MCs so they are, for example green and gold instead of red and blue in a multiplayer map? I opened a map in HMT and looked the bitmaps for cyborg, but it is all white.
What do i need to do?

Extracting Skins From CE

EVery time i open a map up in HMT, after changing the hex so hmt will allow it, i click on a bitm and get an error. How do i extract skins to for example the rwarthog so i can reskin it?

You cant use HMT3.5 for xbx sp->mp conversions. There is another tool...or tut i cant remeber where, but search for it and you will find the way.

OK after you open up your map in SE, click o nthe Edit tab on the right, then go to mode, and pick the type of opbject to select. Then the ones that are in red, you can select those.

I believe that you have to create a brand new map and compile it in tool and sapien for your adjustments to take effect.
What i mean is that you cant edit existing maps with guerilla/tool/sapien, only new ones you've created.

NMP is the new map project, by Ultrmagnus and crew - they have a new UI and a patched xbe and then 12 "new" maps . You can get the info on how to install and download it from there forum in the files forum.

That is the xecuter bios. xbit looks really sweet so ya id say so. Stick with evox - its the best for ppl who are still learning everything - hell istil use it as my main dash. not sure where to get m8. Im sure it will be in the usual places sooner or later.

and amke sure you transfer the cache003 thats on your PC as cache003 AND cache 004 to your xbox, so you have more than one on your xbox, that way it wont read the original BG from the other 2 cache files.

http://www.xbox-scene.com It has everything you need to know there. Im not sure about the posting of bios names, links etc on this forum, but in that package it sounds like he's giving you the x2 4977 bios, which is just fine. Go with his package and follow the instructions and you'll be all right....

He means in HMT, go to [vehi] -> select the warthog, and change its type to ghost. Its at the top in the right panel.
